1. Who we are

PawSide sells one product: a hard-bottom car seat cover built for older dogs. This website, getpawside.com, is our only store. We ship to the countries you can select at checkout.

You can reach a person at support@getpawside.com. We answer every email within 2 business days.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you browse this website or place an order with us. By placing an order you accept them. Our Refund policy, Shipping policy and Privacy policy are part of these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not order.

3. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract where you live. We ship to the countries you can select at checkout, and we cannot deliver to freight forwarders.

4. The product

The cover is made of 600D Oxford fabric over a rigid PP panel, with cotton padding. It is sold in black only, and each order contains one cover and two door seat belts.

Figures such as the 440 lb rated load, the 80.9 by 64.6 inch open size and the 7.02 lb product weight are the manufacturer specifications. Small variations between production batches are normal.

Product photographs are there to show you what the cover does. Colour can look different from one screen to another, and a photograph cannot show you how the cover will sit in your particular car.

Checking the fit is your part of the job. The cover is built for the rear bench of most SUVs, crossovers and full-size sedans, and your rear seats must have headrests, because the straps loop around them. Measure your bench before you order. If it still does not fit, our 30-day guarantee covers you.

5. Important: this is not a safety restraint

Please read this section even if you skip the rest.

The PawSide cover is a seat cover and a platform. It is not a crash-tested restraint, a harness, a crate or a car seat, and it has not been crash tested. It will not hold your dog in place in a collision or in hard braking, and it is not designed to.

The raised side walls are there to stop a dog stepping or sliding off the edge during ordinary driving. They are not a barrier and they are not a safety device.

If you want your dog restrained in the car, use a crash-tested harness or carrier made for that purpose, fitted according to its own instructions. A restraint like that can be used together with this cover.

You remain responsible for how your dog travels, for supervising your dog in the vehicle, and for driving safely. Never leave a dog alone in a parked car.

6. Prices and payment

All prices are in United States dollars and include no hidden fees. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, and shipping is free.

We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order that has already been placed. Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments, and we never see or store your full card details.

Prices and product details are published carefully, but mistakes happen. If we find an obvious error in the price or description of something you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of continuing at the corrected price or cancelling for a full refund.

7. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. The confirmation email is an acknowledgement that we received it, not acceptance. The contract begins when we dispatch your cover.

We may cancel an order and refund you in full if the item is out of stock, if we cannot verify the payment or the address, or if we believe the order was not placed in good faith. We will tell you why.

8. Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery times, costs and what happens to a lost parcel are set out in our Shipping policy.

The 30-day guarantee, how to ask for a refund and when the money reaches you are set out in our Refund policy. In short: you have 30 days from delivery, and you do not need to send the cover back.

9. Looking after the cover

Wipe it clean with a damp cloth, or take it out and rinse it outside the car. Do not machine wash it, tumble dry it, iron it or bleach it: the internal panel and the waterproof coating will not survive that, and damage caused that way is not a fault in the product.

10. Photographs and reviews you send us

If you send us a photograph, a review or a comment, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to show it on this website, in our emails and on our social media accounts, with the first name and initial you give us. Tell us at any time and we will take it down.

Only send us material that is yours to share, and please do not send anything that identifies someone who has not agreed to appear.

11. Our content

The text, photographs, drawings, videos and the PawSide name and logo on this website belong to us. You are welcome to share a link to any page. Please do not copy our photographs, drawings or text for your own store or listing.

12. Using this website

Use the site for browsing and buying. Do not attempt to break into it, scrape it at a volume that disrupts it, upload malicious code, or use it for anything unlawful.

We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not promise it will never be offline or never contain a mistake.

13. Limitation of liability

If we get something wrong, we will put it right: a replacement, or a refund, as set out in our Refund policy.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

14. Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state. Where those laws apply, they apply whatever is written here.

15. If something goes wrong between us

Email us first at support@getpawside.com. Almost everything is settled in one or two emails, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about one. If we cannot agree, nothing in these terms prevents you from using the remedies available to you under your own local law.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business changes. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order. The date at the top tells you when we last changed anything.
